August 4-5 Nakhodka to Vladivostok

August 4, from Nakhodka we moved on to Vladivostok - the capital of Primorsky Krai. Traffic was quite bad, so we arrived to Vladivostok only after 3pm. We drove to the Russky Island crossing two new bridges which were covered in fog. In the evening, we had dinner with my grandfather’s brother family. Our hotel room had a very nice design - something we haven’t seen for a while. It was clear that Vladivostok hosts a lot of international tourists and our hotel was designed by someone who definitely had exposure to international travel. It also had a laundry service, where they took one full load, not by a piece of clothes, which was very handy.

August 5, we started our day quite late as we worked a little on the blog. It is a shame that we had to move to another hotel the following night as this one was fully booked. The new hotel was not nearly nice as the previous one. We had a relaxing stroll across the centre of Vladivostok. We started from the sea port where we saw a big ferry connecting Japan, South Korea and Russia - this must be a ferry that one takes to ship their car from Japan to Russia to travel around the world. We also took a funicular to climb the Eagle’s Nest hill and ended up the day at the panoramic restaurant there.
