May 10 On the road to Iogach

Before leaving Gorno-Altaysk we had to get some water from  it's famous water spring. So famous in fact that we had to wait 20 minutes before our turn to the precious water. Our jerrycan looks big but in fact almost everybody was taking about 20 liters. I'm still not sure what is special about the water; neither is Anna.

Our destination for the day was Iogach, a small village by the lake Teletsoye. The road was narrow, quite uneven, with big potholes in places, but asphalted all the way (160 Km). It exceeded our expectations. In Argentina I would have never expected to find such a decent road to a small village in the middle of nowhere.

As the Kms passed the scenery was getting more impressive. We had a short pit stop by the Biya river to eat our apples and saw some rebellious cows organising "un piquete" in the middle of the road.  Note for the readers outside of Argentina,  a "Piquete" is protest which consists of blocking roads, they're quite common in Argentina.

When we got to Iogach, we had a walk along the lake and then cooked and ate our dinner outside: fish soup and honey wine.
