May 11 Lake Teletskoye

We were hoping for a nice day for our tour on lake Teletskoye and we couldn't get any luckier, sun, no clouds, no wind, perfect! I'm not sure why but the landscapes look somehow familiar, any similarities with Lake Nahuel Huapi are pure coincidence.

We crossed the entire lake (78 kilometres one way and then back) on a small speed boat fitting 9 passengers (not for a faint hearted knowing that the average depth is 325 meters). On our 7-hour tour, we saw several rather small waterfalls, a suspected meteorite landing spot and plenty of beautiful landscapes. At the first stop, people from the another boat said they had seen a bear just behind the cliff. Anna and other girls on the boat asked the captain to go back, but of course we had no luck... As a mere consolation, there was a cardboard bear on the trail. Enjoy the pictures!
