June 20 Minusinsk to Krasnoyarsk

To travel to Krasnoyarsk, we decided to take a scenic route, which involved a ferry across Yenisey. It starts at the Eastern side of the Yenisey River and then rejoins the Yenisey motorway on the Western side via a ferry. As we passed by the road, we were bombarded by black-veined white butterflies (бабочка боярышница). It is the time of the year when they hatch in masses and then apparently gather on the road to lick water from wet stones after rain. Probably... I am not an expert, but there were many of them! It was quite a massacre and we had to clean the radiator grid and the windshield to get rid of their corpses and stains...

Nearing Krasnoyarsk, we went to see the Krasnoyarsk hydro-power station, then the Tsar Fish (Царь Рыба) viewpoint and take the first look of the Stolby (Pillars) national park that we would visit the next day.
