As we left Parnaya in Krasnoyarsk Krai, we passed by plenty of farmlands, which made me think of Europe, but on a much grander scale. As we entered Khakasia Republic, the landscapes changed dramatically in favour of steppes. We stopped at Belyo Lake for a quick picnic, where we simply heated up canned borsch. The Lake is partly located in a nature reserves and partly in a farmland and tourist recreation areas. We arrived to Abakan towards the evening and ended the day with dinner at the hotel.
We found plenty of stone circles in Khakasia. Some were surrounding small mounds.
