June 7 Tomsk to Parnaya

On June 7, we traveled the whole day to move from Tomsk to a village called Parnaya located in the area with multiple lakes. On our way we stopped at Mariinsk to have lunch where we saw the monument to a potato. Apparently Mariinsk holds the world record for potato productivity per hectare. We also passed by a town called Sharypovo with a massive coal powered station mounted over a large water reservoir for cooling purposes. The view of the station over the lake was quite impressive, but we didn’t take any photos… but found a site with some good ones: https://rosphoto.com/ublogs/beryozovskaya_gres-2097
